The Big Read-Aloud Contest 2026
The Big Read-Aloud Contest held its closing ceremony at Grafarholtskirkja church on March 18. This concluded a season of preparation that officially began on Icelandic Language Day, Nov. 16.
Birgir Aðalsteinn and Ísabel Katla, both 7th graders, represented Klébergsskóli this year. They read selected passages from "Fjársjóðsleit í Granada" by Ólafur Páll Jónsson, poems about birds, and poems of their own choice. They both performed exceptionally well, and we congratulate them on their delivery and thank them for their contribution.
